Six for the weak force, all to itself assigned
leptons: electron, muon, tau and their neutrinos.
Six for the strong force, particles confined
quarks: down and up, strange and charmed, bottom and top.

Force carriers to travel far
and in the darkness, find them.
A higgs boson to hold them back,
give them mass, and discind them.

In the realm where the particles lay,
born with the big bang behind them.
One theory to rule them all,
       and with symmetry, bind them.

By now you might have realized that this poem was inspired by the one ring :-)
